Highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) crystals were intercalated in perchloric (HClO4) and sulfuric (H2SO4) acid solutions reaching the fourth stage of intercalation. By an innovative system that combines time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (ToF-SIMS) and in-situ atomic force microscopy (AFM), it was possible to obtain the identification and three-dimensional (3D) distribution of the chemical species involved in the intercalation mechanism.

We successfully realize the heterogenization of molecular corrole compounds through the construction of custom-designed porous organic polymer (POPs) from functionalized metallocorrole complexes as the building units benefiting from the bottom-up approach, wherein CorPOP-1(Mn) shows the high heterogeneous catalytic performance in the context of carbon dioxide cycloaddition to form cyclic carbonates under mild reaction conditions.

In this study, pH-responsive iron–catechin nanoparticles are obtained via a facile metal–organic coordination process, promoting osteogenic differentiation and inhibiting adipogenic differentiation of stem cells. These nanoparticles also exhibit anti-inflammatory effect and are beneficial for bone tissue regeneration, which have great prospect of application in osteoinductive drugs, immunomodulators, and antiobesity agents.
