A multiscale structural engineering strategy was employed to construct defective C3N4 spheres with improved optoelectronic properties and photocatalytic performance. The resultant product shows a remarkable H2O2 production rate and excellent photostability, yielding a high H2O2 concentration of > 45 mM after long-term irradiation.

By using glucose-urea deep eutectic solvent (DES) as both a solvent and the carbon source of structure-directed template, the synthesis of various high-entropy-oxides (HEOs) with two-dimentional (2D) nanonets and one-dimentional (1D) nanowires was achieved, including rock-salt (Co, Cu, Mg, Ni, Zn)O, spinel (Co, Cr, Fe, Mn, Ni)3O4, and perovskite La(Co, Cr, Fe, Mn, Ni)O3. The as-prepared 2D hierarchical porous (Co, Cu, Mg, Ni, Zn)O with rock-salt structure was further applied as a lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) anode material, exhibiting outstanding cyclic stability.

Charge density wave (CDW) is suppressed through Sn intercalation in 1T-TiSe2 due to charge doping, and the hybrid mechanism of exciton-phonon interaction and Jahn-Teller-like mechanism plays a significant role in the formation of CDW in 1TTiSe2 and SnxTiSe2.

We demonstrate a precursor compound (PC)-enabled formation pathway for the CdSe magic-size clusters (MSCs) with a sharp absorption peak at about 420 nm (MSC-420) in aqueous solutions. The coordination between primary amine with PCs may be responsible to the transformation from CdSe PCs to MSC-420.
