Co nanochains are fabricated via a magnetic field assisted assembly approach and demonstrated the enhancement of magnetic loss in microwave absorption, which exhibits strong chain-length dependences because of the improving magnetic response. Research of microwave absorption mechanism via in situ experiment provides visible evidences of magnetic response causing by multiple resonances from the microscopic level.
