Several tribotronic triggers have been developed based on the coupling of contact electrification effect and traditional field-effect transistors. Multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) as an electron acceptor was introduced into NH2-MIL-68(In) by a dynamic hydrothermal process, forming a willow leaf-like In-metal-organic framework (MOF) structure with an MWCNT backbone. The structure showed enhanced light absorption and a highly efficient transfer of photogenerated carriers along with a great increment in the photoreduction efficiency of the heavy metal ion, Cr(VI).

By virtue of the ordering induced in the assembly process, selfsupporting long-afterglow thin films (TFs) exhibit well-defined polarization and up-conversion room-temperature phosphorescence, as well as high quantum yields and luminescence lifetimes. The ordered TFs can be used as room-temperature phosphorescent sensors for both humidity and oxygen and can serve as anti-counterfeiting marks and triple-mode two-dimensional barcode displays.
