The dimer formation between QDs in solution is obtained by using alkyl dithiols as bifunctional linkers, with interparticle distance down to 0.5 nm. Coupling phenomena are strongly dependent from the interparticle distance and QD size, affecting the exciton dissociation efficiency.

We design a Li3P/C nanocomposite electrode material for lithium-ion batteries with Li3P ultrafine nanodomains embedded in micrometerscale porous carbon particles. The unique micro/nanostructure of the Li3P/C nanocomposite enables a high available lithium-ion capacity (791 mAh/g), good rate capability (75% of its 0.5 C capacity at 6 C) and good cycling stability.

InSe/hBN/graphite heterostructures are used to achieve highperformance field-effect transistors (room-temperature mobility of 1,146 cm2·V−1·s−1 and on/off ratio of 1010), integrated digital inverters (voltage gain of 93.4), and flexible devices (little modification of performance at 2% strain), due to atomically flat dielectric, where InSe, hBN, and graphite are employed as channel, dielectric, and gate, respectively.
