Thickness-dependent phase-controlled growth strategy is used to grow PtCu and PtCo alloys with 4H or fcc phase on 4H-Au nanoribbons (NRBs). Importantly, the 4H-Au@4H-PtCu NRBs exhibit superior electrocatalytic performance for ethanol oxidation reaction in alkaline media to 4H-Au@fcc-PtCu NRBs, indicating the effect of crystal phase on the properties and applications of noble metal nanomaterials.

We reported a novel multi-functionally molecule 2,6-di(anthracen- 2-yl)naphthalene (2,6-DAN), which exhibited mobility up to 19 cm2·V−1·s−1 and absolute fluorescence quantum yield of 37.09%. Single-crystal organic light-emitting transistors showed outstanding balanced ambipolar charge transporting properties (μh = 0.48 cm2·V−1·s−1, μe = 0.56 cm2·V−1·s−1) and high external quantum efficiency, i.e., up to 0.42% and 0.3% in n- and p-channel regions, respectively.

A fluidic strategy has been developed to interlace ultralong carbon nanotubes into the crossed pattern within a well-designed layered rectangular reactor. Precise control over the density, position and crossing angle can be achieved by varying the diameters of semicircular assisted substrates.
