A novel host-guest luminous system composed of Y2O3:Eu3+/ (Eu/Y-BTC) is affected by the synergy of quantum confinement, spatial confinement and antenna effect, and the absorption of nearultraviolet light increases. The absorption and emission of light are effectively enhanced, and it has shown important application value in the research field of white light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs).

The spider web-like carbonized bacterial cellulose/MoSe2 composite was fabricated by a facile process and economical raw materials, which have enhanced microwave attenuation performance and tunable absorption bands. The composite effectively solves the problems of impedance mismatch caused by pure bacterial cellulose and high filler content caused by pure MoSe2, offsetting respective shortcomings.

Apoptotic cellular debris at the core of atherosclerotic plaques may produce inflammation and instability leading to heart attacks. We show here that single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs), which display exquisite selectivity for inflammatory monocytes/ macrophages, can deliver a potent small molecule intracellular inhibitor highly selective for SHP1 via pH-dependent release to re-stimulate macrophage uptake of apoptotic cellular debris.
